In the BOIB of November 9, 2021, the Resolution of the Minister of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory was published, by which the Draft decree is submitted to the public information process by which several provisions are developed on the penetration of renewable energies in the electrical system of the Balearic Islands, on electrical self-consumption and on the use of large surface parking lots and roofs for the installation of renewable electricity generation systems (in go ahead, “Renewable Decree“).
The purpose of the Renewable Decree is to develop several provisions of Law 10/2019, of February 22, on climate change and energy transition, relating to (i) the penetration of renewable energies into the electrical system of the Balearic Islands, (ii) electrical self-consumption and (iii) the use of large surface parking lots and roofs for the installation of electrical generation systems. The territorial scope of this decree is that of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.
The deadline for submitting allegations to the Renewables Decree ends on November 30, 2021.
